Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
- Prepare the cake batter as directed on the package and pour into a greased cake pan.
- Bake as directed.
Caramel Sauce
- In a saucepan, combine the evaporated milk and caramels over medium heat until melted and smooth.
Assembly
- Once the cake has cooled, poke holes in the top with a fork.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cake and sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
This cake is best enjoyed slightly warm. Consider serving with vanilla ice cream.
