  • 1 cup buttermilk For marinating the shrimp
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper together.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  2. Dredge the marinated shrimp in the flour mixture, coating them well.
  3. Fry the shrimp in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Serve freshly fried shrimp with a squeeze of lemon or a tangy dipping sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
