Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the sourdough discard, flour, salt, sugar, and olive oil until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.
- Let the dough rest in a greased bowl for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each into a ball.
- Arrange the dough balls in a greased baking dish, allowing space for them to expand.
- Mix the melted butter and garlic powder, and brush it over the top of the dough balls.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
This pull-apart garlic bread is best served warm. It pairs well with pasta, soups, or salads, and can also be enjoyed on its own.
