Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 5 cups 5 cups of flour All-purpose flour recommended
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of dry yeast Make sure it's fresh for the best rise
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup oil Vegetable or olive oil can be used
  • 2 cups 2 cups of milk Warm the milk before mixing
  • 1 tablespoon 1 tablespoon of butter Melted, for enriching the dough
  • 100 grams 100 grams of ghee Could substitute with more butter if preferred
  • 1 unit 1 egg yolk For brushing the top
  • to taste Sesame seeds For topping the bread

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the milk and mix in the oil and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1-2 hours.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan, cover it, and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Brush the top of the dough with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

To keep your bread fresh, store it at room temperature in a bread box or wrapped in a cloth. For longer storage, slice the loaf and freeze the pieces.
