Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, warm the milk and mix in the oil and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1-2 hours.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan, cover it, and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush the top of the dough with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
To keep your bread fresh, store it at room temperature in a bread box or wrapped in a cloth. For longer storage, slice the loaf and freeze the pieces.
