Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 250°C / 480°F (230°C fan) and place the shelf in the top quarter of the oven.
- Lightly spray your pizza pan or baking tray with oil.
- Prepare your pizza sauce and toppings while the oven preheats. If you’re using shredded mozzarella, keep it in the fridge to stay fresh.
- If you’re using a food processor, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, olive oil, and water, and blend for 40 seconds until the dough forms.
- If you’re kneading by hand, mix the dry ingredients and slowly add the liquid. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes until it’s smooth.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
Baking
- Top your pizza with the prepared sauce, mozzarella, and any other toppings you fancy.
- Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
Serving
- Once your pizza is done baking, slice it up and serve it hot! It pairs wonderfully with a side salad or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Make sure to properly measure your flour for the best texture. Use the spoon-and-level method for accuracy. Feel free to experiment with different types of flour for varying flavors and textures. To achieve a crispier crust, pre-bake the dough for 5-7 minutes before adding the toppings.
