Ingredients

Dough Ingredients
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour Use '00' flour for the best texture if available.
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast Ensure yeast is fresh.
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water Should be around 110°F/43°C.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional, for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water and instant yeast until dissolved. Pour this mixture into the well in the flour.
  3. Gradually mix the flour into the water using a fork or your hands until combined.
  4. If using, add the olive oil and mix until the dough starts to come together.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
  7. Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 2-4 equal portions, shaping them into balls.
  8. Let the dough balls rest for another 30 minutes, covered with a cloth.
Serving
  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  2. Top it with your favorite pizza sauce, cheeses, and toppings.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven on a pizza stone or baking sheet at the highest temperature (around 475°F to 500°F) for about 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and crispy.
  4. Enjoy it fresh and hot!

Notes

Wrap leftover dough tightly in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before using.
