Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage with the diced onion over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain any excess fat and stir in your desired seasonings (such as garlic powder, salt, and pepper).
Assembly and Baking
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the cooked spaghetti noodles, half of the meat mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve hot from the oven. Pairs well with a fresh green salad or warm garlic bread. Add fresh parsley or basil on top for added flavor.
