Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Marinade
  • 1 lb Chicken thighs or breasts Use your preferred cut of chicken.
  • 1 cup Buttermilk For marinating the chicken.
  • 2 tbsp Hot sauce Adjust to taste.
For the Biscuits
  • 2 cups Flour All-purpose flour works best.
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder For leavening the biscuits.
  • 1 tsp Salt Enhances the flavor.
  • 0.5 cup Butter Cold and cut into cubes.
For the Hot Honey
  • 0.5 cup Honey Quality honey enhances the flavor.
  • 0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes Adjust based on desired heat level.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
  3. Add milk gradually to form a dough. Roll out and cut into biscuits.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Bake biscuits for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  3. Fry marinated chicken in hot oil until crispy and cooked through.
  4. For the hot honey, heat honey and mix in red pepper flakes.
Assembly
  1. Assemble by placing chicken between two biscuits and drizzling hot honey on top. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flaky biscuits, handle the dough as little as possible. Use a cast-iron skillet for even frying. Adjust hot sauce to suit your taste.
