  • 1 block firm tofu Press for at least 30 minutes before using.
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan version.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Coat tofu cubes before frying.
  • Cooking oil for frying Use your preferred cooking oil.
Garnish
  • Green onions Chopped.
  • Sesame seeds

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  4. Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch until coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
  3. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the tofu and toss to coat.
  4. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or quinoa for a hearty meal. Pairs well with steamed vegetables or in a stir-fry. For best results, press tofu properly and use fresh garlic.
