  • 1 cup warm milk Ensure it's warm but not too hot.
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour Add more if the dough is too sticky.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Can be adjusted for sweetness.
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Can substitute with instant yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation
  1. In a stand mixer bowl, whisk together warm milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla.
  2. Add the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Mix on low speed until a dough forms, then increase to medium speed and knead for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge. For a sweeter dough, add cinnamon and nutmeg, or add herbs for a savory option.
