  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ tsp)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Make a well in the center and add warm water and olive oil.
  3. Stir with a wooden spoon until a dough begins to form.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the risen dough, and it is now ready to use for your favorite recipes.

Notes

Store leftover dough in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze it well-wrapped for up to 3 months. Make sure to let frozen dough thaw in the refrigerator overnight before using. Don't rush the rising time; letting the dough rest helps develop flavor and texture. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour, but be cautious not to add too much.
