Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased pie dish and spread it out evenly.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains soft and gooey.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Don't overmix the batter; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
