Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter Melted but not too hot.
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder For richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Consider using high-quality chocolate chips.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased pie dish and spread it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains soft and gooey.
  2. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Don't overmix the batter; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
