For the filling
  • 2 cups Potatoes, diced Use starchy potatoes for better texture
  • 1 cup Carrots, diced Fresh carrots preferred
  • 1 cup Onion, diced
  • 1 pound Ground beef or a meat alternative Substitute with lentils for a vegetarian option
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash) Beaten, used for sealing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the gluten-free pastry dough according to the recipe or package instructions.
  3. In a bowl, mix diced potatoes, carrots, onion, and ground beef. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the pastry dough and cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle.
  6. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges with your fingers or a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
