Ingredients

For the garlic butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened Use fresh, softened butter for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
For the sandwiches
  • 4 slices of bread Use fresh bread for the best texture.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend Experiment with different cheese blends for variety.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley until well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread, covering all the way to the edges.
Cooking
  1. Place two slices butter-side down and add half the cheese on each. Top with the other bread slices, butter-side up.
  2. Heat a skillet over low heat. Cook the sandwiches for 4–5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  3. Remove from the pan, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with a warm bowl of tomato soup or a crisp green salad. For an extra burst of flavor, consider adding slices of ripe tomatoes or cooked spinach before grilling. You can also spice it up with some red pepper flakes for a kick!
