Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with garlic powder and dried parsley until smooth and well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Assembly
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on a skillet. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese mixture over each slice.
- Top with the remaining two slices of bread, buttered side up.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over low heat and cook the sandwiches for 4 to 5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwiches and cook the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
- Remove from heat, slice as desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve warm with tomato soup or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat on a skillet.
