Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450°F if you plan to bake your pizza immediately.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Pour in the warm water and olive oil, then mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
- On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes if using Quick Rise yeast, or 60-90 minutes for standard yeast.
- Once it has risen, divide the dough into two balls. Roll each one into a 10-12 inch circle or press it into a greased baking pan.
Baking
- Spread your favorite pizza sauce on top, sprinkle cheese, and load it up with your favorite toppings.
- Bake your pizza for 12-15 minutes for a thinner crust or 20-22 minutes for a thicker one, until it’s golden and bubbly.
Notes
If you have leftover dough, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Let it thaw in the fridge overnight before using. For a crispy crust, try pre-baking the dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
