Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
Assembly
- In a greased baking dish, press the meat mixture into the bottom to form a layer.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat layer, smoothing it out evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Pairs well with a fresh garden salad or steamed vegetables. Add BBQ sauce on the side for dipping. Cut into squares for easy serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
