Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Add to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
Baking
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix on top.
- Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the batter.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Glazing
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
Best served slightly warm or at room temperature. Can add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
