Preparation
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.
- Spread melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
Serve with a dollop of cream cheese or butter, and it pairs wonderfully with coffee or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze for longer storage.
