  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix) Choose your favorite cheese blend.
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage You can substitute with ground turkey or plant-based meat.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream Can be adjusted for creaminess.
  • 1 cup cream cheese Add more for extra creaminess.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 package tortilla chips or bread for serving For dipping.

Cooking
  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is soft.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in sour cream and cream cheese until melted and well combined.
  5. Add shredded cheese, salt, and pepper, and stir until fully melted.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips or bread.

Notes

This dish is best enjoyed warm. Serve with fresh veggies for a crunch. Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat to enjoy.
