  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Make sure butter is melted but not hot.
  • 2 large eggs

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour and sugar together until well combined.
  3. Add in the milk, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until the batter is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it out evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Once baked, let the cake cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar, serve with whipped cream or fresh berries. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze slices for up to three months.
